I will be referring to this book over and over as I work through my own health journey and as I seek to help others have positive outcomes on their health journeys. Very complete and covers both body and mind! The title might make you think that it is only about your thoughts, but that is one part of the book (a very important part), but there is also detailed science and practical recommendations - nothing left out!
This book is so inspiring. The care for Lyme disease in the conventional health care system is greatly flawed. This book gives you hope, and a new outlook on care, treatment, management of symptoms, and life after. I want to thank the doctors that wrote this, from the bottom of my heart!!!!
I started to cry in the first 2 chapters because someone wrote exactly how I was feeling. I had to run and tell my husband to start reading the book so he could understand me more. This book has brought me peace in knowing I’m going to heal from being sick for the last 15 years, and I’m looking forward to my first starting my healing journey with medicine with heart next month!
What an amazing book! I've been praying for help and I think this book is the answer. Easy to read and understand and written by people who know what we are going thru. I've already started to follow some of the recommendations.
I would give this book four and a half stars if I could, but only because I think the title doesn't do justice to its comprehensive nature. When I read the title, I half-hoped I would be able to learn how "think away" my Lyme and mold toxicity, and at the same time I was skeptical. The authors did not disappoint, however. This is not an airy-fairy book. It is thoroughly grounded in science and professional and personal experience. The book is so thorough that I had to skip parts to read later so I could take it all in and not become overwhelmed by the complexity of the illness as they explore it. The authors know that Lyme is a tough disease to have and to treat, but they have a way of staying with the reader, cautioning you often to not freak out, and describing their own experiences. They know the medical, emotional and social effects of Lyme and mold illness, and they don't hold back with information or encouragement. They also refer often to the accompanying website for even more details and suggestions, including generous offers to share their expertise with other professionals. It is a detailed and dynamic road map through the intricacies of treatment as well as a guide to the power of one's own mind.
A stellar read!!! I suffer from brain fog for years and suspected mold to be a possible cause of my symptoms. This book offers so many unique solutions I haven’t found anywhere else - a holistic approach which I’ve seen before but this one (as the title suggests) includes your mind in a different approach. Love how the authors are doctors and they have suffered from it personally and goes in deep so many different potential strategies you can try to see if In addition, while it’s a REALLY deep topic they write in a way that’s easy for the reader to digest and process this information. For example I was aware of Mycotoxin but wasn’t aware of the several sub types (along with other types of related infections). Chapters 13 & 15 are probably my favorite chapters as it laid out the exact steps to heal your body from mold. Chapter 14/15 is a unique one as it dives in deeper how to use your mind to support the healing process (in a way I’ve never heard of). Oh and then chapter 20 dives in deep as they understand most doctors don’t have a grasp on mold so they give you a really list of questions to ask to see if they will be the right type of doctor for you. Definitely worth checking out if you have unresolved chronic health issues that could be impacted by mold or lyme.
This book has changed my understanding of Lyme disease, its impacts, and treatment options. I am so grateful to the authors for sharing personal examples and anecdotes that I could really relate to, especially since I have family and friends suffering from chronic Lyme. Will definitely be sharing this with everyone I know who is suffering from Lyme and mold!
The author really connected to my heart and mind. The book is not only educational, but a resource like non other I’ve read before on Lyme and Mold.
