PRODUCT INFO
This bundle includes the Tickborne Diseases 2.0 and Mycotoxins panels. These tests will determine if you were exposed to harmful microorganisms from ticks or mycotoxins from various forms of mold. Pathogens from both ticks and mold can cause a variety of symptoms and diseases.
The Vibrant Tickborne Diseases panel includes 17 tickborne infections, 16 co-infections, and 9 opportunistic infections, giving you the most comprehensive insight into what, exactly, your body is currently fighting. While the Vibrant Mycotoxins test is a urine-based assay for 31 of the most common mycotoxins produced by molds to which humans are exposed. Together these tests will give you a fuller picture regarding whether you have been exposed to disease or toxins from the environment, and which exact pathogen you have.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Tickborne diseases can be acquired throughout the United States from a variety of ticks, which carry and pass on different microorganisms to humans and animals. Mycotoxin exposure can come from both dietary and environmental sources. Symptoms of both tickborne disease and mycotoxin infestation may be generic and overlap with other conditions, and therefore, can be difficult to diagnose or overlooked during clinical assessments. The Vibrant Tickborne Disease panel provides the earliest and most comprehensive identification of the various tickborne diseases, co-infections, and opportunistic infections while the Mycotoxin panel confirms the presence of mycotoxins. Knowing exactly what to treat improves the treatment plan, and thus, clinical outcomes.
Both the Tick Disease and Mycotoxin panels utilize our proprietary technology that allows for early detection of tickborne diseases and the detection of a wide array of mycotoxins. You can begin a treatment protocol and take back your health! Don’t miss your opportunity to learn if a tickborne disease or mycotoxins are at the root of your symptoms.
HOW ACCURATE IS THE TEST?
Both the Tick Disease and Mycotoxins tests utilize Vibrant’s advanced technology to give patients comprehensive and detailed results. The Vibrant Tickborne Diseases panel is the first of its kind to be run on a silicon micro-array platform using chemiluminescence detection that provides improved sensitivity & specificity.
The Mycotoxins test is measured using Vibrant’s patent-pending proprietary technology, to produce the most accurate and clinically relevant assessment of difficult-to-detect toxins that can cause serious disease in humans. Vibrant is able to detect mycotoxins, small molecules, as small as 5 pcg, which greatly expands the number of available mycotoxins detected.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR THE TEST?
Fasting is not required for the Tickborne Diseases test, and there are no diet or dietary supplement restrictions before testing. If you are taking steroids, immunosuppressive medications, biologic agents, or other immunomodulating medications, you may not get an accurate result of your antibody levels on the Tickborne test. If you are taking any of these medications you may get falsely lower or falsely higher antibody results. For this reason, to ensure the most accurate results, your ordering provider may recommend testing 14-30 days after discontinuing these medications, or they may recommend testing Total Immunoglobulins (Total IgE, Total IgM, Total IgA, and Total IgG) before testing specific antibody levels for Tickborne diseases.
Fasting is also not required for the Mycotoxins test. However, fasting for 12 hours may increase the amount of mycotoxins excreted in urine, so consult with your ordering provider about whether they recommend you fast for 12 hours before the test. Some Vibrant America ordering providers may prefer you do a “provoked” Mycotoxin test which requires taking a “provoking agent” (such as NAC, glutathione, DMSA, or EDTA) prior to testing to promote the release of body stores of mycotoxins so that the mycotoxins are “mobilized” (moved through the body) and excreted (released) in urine. Vibrant America does not require a provoked test, nor does Vibrant America recommend a specific provoking agent, dose, or timing of provocation before testing. Discuss with your ordering provider whether they recommend a provoked or unprovoked test, and which provoking agent, dose, and timing of provocation and urine collection they recommend for you. Please note that unprovoked test results cannot predict provoked test results as the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (release) of mycotoxins in urine is highly variable in different people and is influenced by a number of physical, dietary, and environmental factors. Overall, the majority of Vibrant America ordering providers order unprovoked testing. For best test performance, collect the first morning urine upon awakening, prior to eating or drinking.
